Help desire internal memory vanishing

hi there newish to this whole thing but basically what i was wondering is about my desire's internal memory.

i got the desire and my mate bought himself the nexus one i know from specs these phones are near identical.

we both have similar apps installed on ours phones, infact he has 50 odd installed and still has 60 meg od internal memory left.

me on the other hand have 38 apps installed about 34 on the sd card but my internal memory in between 19 and 15 meg, everytime i install a new app i get warnings about my memory. whats soaking it all up and how can i fix this?

Root it and use A2SD+
 
root it? whats that and the benefits etc?

a2sd+? whats that?

sorry as i said new to this kinda thing lol

all i know is i got ma phone its android and its under warrrenty and thats it lol.
 
my desire doesnt show me how much total memory it has except the for the sd card. only shows how much is left.

mainly games and a few other apps like file explorer etc
 
facebook, twitter and toddler lock are the only apps ive downlaoded that are on ma phone memroy, 35 apps which are games and other stuff are all moved to my sd card. uninstalled the games that i couldnt move and its left me with 25 now

Apps still use internal memory when on sd. ;)
 
Install the small Accleaner, open it and clean the applications cache. See how much that will help.

Also, in Settings>Manage Applications press Menu and sort by Size. Look at the top 10 apps and see which ones are consuming the most of the memory.
 
cool tried that. ive uninstalled everything bar speedtest and accleaner and stock apps. biggest one is flash at nearly 12meg and maps at 10meg, then gmail at 5meg.

after getting all my other apps of i got back up to 93meg now
 
I don't think you need to install the Flash update (10mb). It is already part of HTC Desire Froyo ROM.
