a lass at work has got a desire that keeps switching off for no reason. ive told her she needs to take it back to orange shop, and this is what she'll probably do.
i just got thinking tho, now ive got some knowledge of rooting, would it be a good idea to offer to root it for her and put a new rom on? would this sort it (software problem) or might it actually be a hardware problem, and id be leaving her open to orange refusing a swap if anything went wrong?
