Desire & Quickoffice

Hi, I'm Ray.
Just bought a HTC Desire and am trying to get to grips with it. Noticed Quickoffice was already installed but it does nothing. Tried downloading an excel file but it won't open it. I know the full version is not expensive but would like to read any reviews before I buy.
Hope someone can help.
