Not sure if this is the correct area so forgive me if it isn't!
I was using my HTC desire which was rooted and unlocked until a few months ago when it completely bricked on me. I had to send it off (through t-mobile) and got the phone back fixed. It had been rebranded and re-locked to t-mobile network.
I am now no longer with t-mobile so thought I would unlock the phone and re-root in order to keep using. The previous unlock code no longer works and the root (unrevoked) just says "cannot find root - is your firmware too new?"
I have tried to purchase 2 new unlock codes online but both have come back saying the codes cannot be found even though the IMEI is the same.
It is running Android 2.2 with a software number 2.12.110.4.
I am desperate to unlock the phone then root it. What am I doing wrong?!
