Ok so i waited for the Desire S, got one the day after they launched in the UK and it started to crash all the time at random.
I took it back to phones4u and they gave me a replacement Desire S.
This 'new' one seems better, it crashes less however its still crashing at random.
Example: I was writing a text message and the phone just crashed to the HTC reboot screen, a calendar reminder once caused it to reboot, opening an app causes it to reboot as does closing an app... Its ridiculously unstable!!!
Its totally random as well, one single thing wont cause it to reboot but many normal things seem to cause it problems at random.
Its on 2.3.3 and there are no updates.
The phone still crashes even with standard apps on.
I came over to Android from the IOS platform and i have to say Android is terrible. My Iphone would never crash. This is the first brand new phone ive ever had and it sucks!!!
/rant over.
Any advice as to what i can do?
Can i downgrade to 2.3 / 2.2? what features would i loose?

Anyway what helped me was to do a factory reset (setting --> SD card --> factory reset). I went from having 10 crashes over two days to 1 in 4 weeks.
