Help Desire sometimes doesn't turn screen off

Hi, as my subject says, my desire is set to auto turn off after 1 minute, which is usually does.

The last 2 weeks i have noticed that sometimes it does turn off and then other times it just stays on until i press the power button, it will keep doing this till i restart the phone. After a restart it is alright for a while (it will auto turn off) and just out the blue it will just start not turning off.

does anything know whats wrong or has anyone else this issue?

I have had this happen a couple of times and like you the only way to correct was to turn phone off and back on again. No idea why but as i have had my sim free Desire since release day and it has only done it twice i've never looked into it any further...
Would be interested to know why though .....
