Root Desire upgrade to gingerbread using "RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread)"

Hi,

After flashing HTC Desire with HTCs own Gingerbread upgrade file (3.14.405.1):
htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads

I get this message whenever I go to settings:
The application com.android.settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

The same happened with the sense application in the beginning (leaving the screen more or less blank), until i removed simcard, then i could see the background and menu. Now I've put back in the simcard and I can see the sense background and menu, but settings continue to crash!

I've tried reflashing with the same file from htcdev, but no luck!

Also tried flashing with the old:

"RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed.exe"

but that fails as well now that the HBOOT has been upgraded to 1.02.001.

Basically, I'm in deep.

.... What can I try next??

i have htc desire A8181 with 2.32.415.3rom after update my phone with ruu_ htc desire android 2.3 gingerbreab and my phone now hung in htc logo.can anybody help me

Try to reaply the update ! It should fix the problem. And maybe a factory reset also...
