Desire using 3 network questions???????

Hi,
I am about to have a HTC desire delivered and noticed that skype will not work on one! I also noticed that 3 netwok UK sells desires with skype working.
I read that 3 uk are using a gateway to get calls to skype on the internet. Does anyone know how to set up a desire to use the 3 free skype service the same as they sell it for at 3 network?

ALso does :)anyone have skype working at all on a desire????

Not sure what your thinking is possible without being on 3, im sure one of the more experienced users will be along shortly to either confirm or deny that :)

I have skype running on a desire through nimbuzz.

thanks for the reply. I will be using my existing sim which 3 network and pay as you go with an internet bolt on for extra internet.
Hi you are using nimbuz does it use a lot of data to run skype in the back ground?

Not used it for many calls so far but i just tested it and it used about 0.8 MB for a 2 minute phone call.

If you are also on 3 im sure there was a link on this site that pointed to the skype that 3 mobile use, i'll have a wee look for you.
 
Yes great to have some advice I have got almost all the info together so I can get on with updating and installing stuff on the desire when it arrives.
