Desire vs 4

hagar

Newbie
On Saturday myself and a friend had a wee face off with our phones, my 2 year old desire with 6% memory left vs his new iphone 4.

Test 1 - Get directions to the restaurant - Winner - HTC
Test 2 - Name that tune - My Soundhound vs his Shazam - Winner - HTC
Test 3 - Take a photo and upload to Facebook - Winner - HTC

Ok, these tests may have been network dependant, o2 vs vodafone but it still went a long way to shutting him up!! iphones aint all that!!

I'm sure I've said it in a previous post, but the iPhone is a nice bit of tech and simple and intuitive to use. It's the smugness that some people seem to have in announcing the fact they own one which winds me up. And the same goes with any Apple product.
But yeah, I agree, the HTC Desire (preferably rooted!) is superior!

Yes, as a proud owner of the Desire, I am glad that you are happy with your Desire. Nevertheless, your friend can really come back with a simple fact that on the Iphone 4, he can install more apps than on your Desire. My major complaint with my Desire is its super tiny internal storage, forcing me to constantly uninstall old apps to make space for new ones. Other than that, the Desire is awesome!

The desire out of the box is very limited, but limits are always there to be broken, i currently have over 90 apps installed and i still have about 120mb on internal left.
The desire never fails to bore me, there is always something to do or theme. Far far better than any iPhone, and i believe the only modding an iPhone user can do is jailbreak. Which is nothing in comparison to the desire.

I'm not joking, afterwards my boss said "f**king hell, anyone would think you were doing me a favour". Guess my reaction was not particularly one of excitement. Well its that or an average blackberry. Probably would prefer the iPhone. I'd use my android but the security policy gives them the ability to wipe it.

I've got a blackberry for work and I honestly really cannot see what all the hype about them is, they are so boring, constantly freeze up and are slow as s**t, the only decent thing on them is the bbm.

Can I ask you what ROM you are using?

Bbm is pure hype. It's a tool to allow business users to communicate if their exchange system goes down. Other than that, its pointless and less use than more popular messengers.

OS 6 and 7 are better but only makes sense on the touch devices. If you haven't got top.end, its pretty boring yeah. The 9900 Is nice but its not android. Nothing is
