Right, I've been aware of this issue for ages now, but it's really starting to get my goat.
The issue is that after receiving an sms from a particular person, I cannot simply "reply" to them - I have to compose a new message and select the contact.
If I reply, the sending of the sms fails. This is because the phone has somehow decided that the mobile number now starts with "447..." instead of "+447". This happens even though the contact is actually stored as starting "07" (standard uk mobile format).
So I did some research and read that it might be being caused by facebook. I thought this was unlikely as the person in question doesn't have his mobile number on facebook. I still totally disabled and even removed the "Facebook for HTC sense" account.
I actually thought this fixed the issue, but it hasn't, and when I open up the thread I can see that the phone has again mangled the number. I've done some more research to see if he could have entered his number incorrectly on his google account or something, but can't see anything. I've also trashed the entire thread several times but it just keeps coming back.
I'm currently using GoSMS instead of the standard sms application - in case it was a problem in the standard sms application.
Has anyone got any ideas? Looking for any suggestions to try really as I'm now at a loss. I'm now even thinking is something to do with the network (T Mobile UK) sending junk data to my phone.
