Root Desire Z stuck on HTC screen

Hello.

I tried to root my friends phone using Strawmetals guide found here: http ://minus.com/mu9vZ3P38

But after trying to get permanent root it's stuck on the HTC logo during boot.
I managed to downgrade it, using the ROM in the guide and after I tried to get it rooted it got stuck.

also, it seems that adb cant find(?) the phone, but fastboot works just fine.
