Desired Updates

Hi

I had my phone just recently, so I thought this might be some helpful points.

* Current city weather widget problem which does not show up (No Data Available)

* A BACK button on Touch Screen would help, somewhere on top left, instead of doing it through hardware button (how difficult is it to do just back button?)

* Facility to Backup/Restore current THEME/Scene on sdcard copletely with the Folders created by the user, also that it can be exchanged by various users instead of creating new folders & installing apps again.

* Facility to SHUT/KILL processes, with facility of showing Dependencies Options for other processes

* Ability to Re-Arrange Icons in multiple mode and not just arranging singles one by one which initiates & lengthens the process.

* Builtin Package selections at startup as not everybody use Facebook, Peep, Flickr etc...

Hope the people who writes programs & coding would get some attantion.

Camera that takes pictures when I press the button, not 2 secs after and doesn't blur at the slightest movement.

Multi-line addresses in People app.

Pinch zoom in Google Maps.

The ability to root is essential or I'll just stick where I am.
 
I was temped to write, well nothing really, the phone is pretty dammed good, but I'll say a slightly better keyboard(I'm using BK and it's fine)and pinch/zoom on google maps, but I'm honestly fine with the little -+ thingy.

Just get FULL Flash here sooner rather than later & I'll be happy enough, oh and 2.1 just to shut the moaners up, it's not like HTC have anything else to do, you know like design and build better, sexier and more expensive phones(not to self DO NOT BUY A LEGEND, DO NOT BUY A LEGEND!):rolleyes::D

Forgot to mention after reading the font post...

* Ability to put 2 mobile nos while creating new contact, (its very common ppl have 2 mobiles)

* Ability to make any no (phone, home, office) as default.

Press and hold any no to get pop-up to select default no.
 
My main issue is optimisation! Faster keyboard, faster phone app, faster camera and general UI slowness at times. Optimise the slow messages app.

More multi-touch support (google maps/keyboard)

sorry I did not get it how to do it?
I tried doing it by entering PEOPLE menu and pressing & holding the no (of course after Edit) but it didnt give me any option for DEFAULT option..

Please can you explain in a bit detail..

Go to People->"Go inside any specific contact (NOT edit)"->"Press and hold the number you want to make it as default". Then you will get this screen.

It's no good looking at my phone at 00:02 and seeing a call/text from yesterday if i dont know when yesterday it was.

I'd like a nicer keyboard I'm happy with mine...

Sense colour pickers. Like on Windows where you can change colour settings for toolbars and window maybe I'd like to change the colour of sense. This could be quite resource hogging

Faster startup

Turn off app permissions. Ie app wants stop phone from sleeping permission. I might want to turn that one permission off to stop it doing that. Obviously not possible but how cool would that be.

Off topic but
In the next phone... a decent amount of RAM maybe a few gig any maybe a few gig of flash storage on the phone as well.
 
Keyboard calibration in all modes including landscape qwerty

As already said. Save/export scenes

Profiles like older phones or build profiles into scenes . Allowing you to have a work scene which puts your work widgets and changes to work ringtone settings

Home scene has home widgets wallpaper and my home ringtone and vol


So many more...
 
I really hope 2.1 has better video playback. I was really wanting to use the phone to watch some divx files on the go like I do with my 5 year old Dell Axim.

Voice control would be nice so that my BT headset will actually have all the features enabled. I would also be nice to be able to listen to music/video on BT as well.

Great phone, but to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed at all of these missing features.
