Accessories Desktop Dock Question

Got the official Samsung desk mount for the captivate for Christmas. However, the audio out doesn't seem to work at all. Anyone know how to get this to work?

It does indeed work when using a Froyo rom when I tried it.

Probably because it requires an actually official Android 2.2, not a hacked ROM.

Cognition is based on early, buggy unreleased developer Froyo code that wasn't done yet and not meant to be used by the end user.

A paradox? Shouldn't have been released if not fully functional, and didn't Rogers get a fully released froyo? Otherwise, there still isn't an end user Froyo, and so the dock shouldn't have been released.

Installed Serendipity 1.7 last night. Still can't find Home Desk Samsung on the market. Probably isn't there because Samsung doesn't support 2.2 yet.

Anyone know if HDS is available somewhere else and can be sideloaded?

I searched for "desk home" and found it. In fact, it's the first/top match. "Car home" is also there. I'm on stock 2.1 though, so it's possible that it's hidden from you because of your ROM making it seem like your phone isn't an AT&T Captivate.

Perhaps that is so. I found a desk home, but it wasn't Samsung's so I don't know if it will work.
