Desktop Dock

i'm also still trying to find the samsung desktop dock, with no success...

Looks like the VZW one is just a cradle, doesn't actually lock into a microusb port. Could be wrong, but that's the way it looks and reads.

Did see this on ebay but 11+ days out, ugh:

Not willing to attempt it until there's some reviews about it for the VZW version.

Need a good bedside dock, surprised that one isn't out yet.

the usb dock looks interesting, but i was hoping for one that would charge the phone using the three pins (and allow me to use the phone as an alarm clock)...i thought i had seen one online the other day but now i can't find it.

There is this one but I'm not going to pay $65 for it. Hopefully there will be one that comes out pretty soon and for cheaper that does the same thing.

apparently it's still not available for purchase, though.

edit: it's the same one have24 posted above. i'd pay $65 if it actually does charge through the 3-pin connector...would help lessen the load on the usb port.

I don't really like that the second dock doesn't charge a second battery. For that kind of money it should do that and maybe give me a reach-around too.

I had been eyeballing the dock on eBay, but ideally I'd like that dock but in landscape mode. Coming from the OG Droid and that dock, and just feeling safer about it laying horizontally than vertically, I'd prefer a spare battery charger and landscape mode.

I'm concerned that the landscape dock makes the power button essentially completely unaccessible... not sure what to think about that...
