Root Desktop kernel patch applied to android kernel???

Does anybody know if the new desktop kernel patch written by Mike Galbraith can be applied or modified to be used in the android kernel?

I haven't messed around with android kernels yet, but I have applied it to my current Ubuntu 10.10 system and you can see the difference. Its like night & day!

might take a while. we would need and android/linux expert to get that code into our kernels. Then we would need a kernel dev to perfect it and port it to the droid.

a dev would have to roll any desired changes into their kernels and then rerelease them.

The XDA forums would be the place to watch to see how this affects the Android community

this is interesting enough, I posed the question over there to see if anyone with a bigger brain and understanding of the find would bite and expand on it.
