Desktop program for syncing music with One X

Since the update to 4.1, andoird's ability to use as USB disk is gone (at least in my case with HTC One X). For some reason, Airdroid and similar apps are not reliable either. Majority of the times, they do not work.

I HAD to install half-baked HTC Sync manager. Otherwise I use MusicMonkey for my audio, where I have all my music, tagged and starred. This information is not shown in HTC Sync Manager.

I am curious what other programs are there, that are well coded and can show my tag and star information so that I can transfer songs of my choice without much hassle.
I tried this in MediaMonkey itself but again some kind of error and it fails to sync the file.

Thanks in advance

(P.S. - Pls do not suggest doubletwist, I do not use iTunes as tagging and starring is not recognized in iTunes)

I've seen some people report success by updating windows media player on their PC. Somehow the updated drivers work better with the phone.

Alternatively, I know a lot of people end up installing a program called PDAnet on their PC. The drivers that come with PDAnet often work when the manufacturers drivers don't work (especially samsung).

WinAmp can manage and sync your music to your Android phone without issue, even wirelessly if you want. And if you want to see your ratings and other data you made on WinAMP for PC, you can use WinAMP for Android.
