Desktop shortcut directly to a GMail label?

Hi all,

I have a zillion labels. Only way to manage the old digital life... Anywho, it's a PITA going into GMail and scrolling through the astronomical list of labels to see what's in there. Needless to say, some labels are, to me, more important than others...

With that in mind, what I'd like to know is how I can create a shortcut on the desktop that will go directly to a specific label in GMail. It's gotta be possible. Assuming so, can someone tell me how, please?

Thanks!

Chris

Couldn't be easier. Long press where you want the label, when the menu pops ups...select "shortcut" and select "GMail label" and you are done.

You can use dg Quick Cut for free to rename any icon on your screen but last I tried it would distort the icon a bit. Not sure if it's been updated to be droid compatible or not. For a couple bucks you can use Bettercut and it will rename and not mess up the icon.

Not that I am aware of...whatever the app is called in your app drawer is what shows up on your home screen.
