Root Desperately seeking help

I am really trying to root my TB that I purchased from a previous owner. My unrooted phone is on version 2.2.1. I have been looking around this site and other sites for the past 2 days and here is what I have found=

-Apparently revolution? is newest method to root my phone BUT people are having problem after gingerbread update?? and phone keeps restarting for people because verizon is trying to update?


I am a newbie at this, I dont need step by step (would be nice ) but I just need someones help to show me the right directions..

I don't remember exactly what version my phone was on when I rooted but it was before the GB update came out. I used revolutionary so it mighyve been 2.2.1 and it worked perfectly for me. YouTube search nat3mil's revolutionary tutorial he did it step by step, and he's really nice and answered questions really quick lol.

I'm pretty sure everything up until the 605.9 base is workable with revolutionary. I've rooted 4 different phones now with the same process and haven't had any problems because of it.

revolutionary does not work with the newest update(2.11.605.9 <-look in about phone to find this) is the only "issue" and that is easily resolved by running a 2.11.605.5 RUU

nates video and the link to revolutionary are there. if you are really on 2.2 still,youre fine. just install drivers and run revolutionary.
