Root [DEV] Continuing Triumph ICS Development

It seems development has dramatically slowed down. Did Yumbrad get abducted by bears in the mountains? I remember when there were like 10-20+ posts a day, what happened???

Hello everyone, i recently switched to the triumph thanks to all of the guys hard work in here (i refuse to buy a phone that cant run CM) :D anywho, the reason for my post is i really wanted to help out but i have absolutely NO coding or Dev know how, but i do have servers that i am not using and i can install an OS such as Linux or build VM's to help the project out. i was wondering if there was anyway i could use my equipment to help compile stuff or some other tasks????

if anyone has an idea or suggestion how i can help out please let me know, my server is a 2.4 xeon quad core with 12GB of ram and all of it could be devoted to this project.

Thanks

Progmanos as well...it seems like the devs just fell off the face of the earth. I understand that if they're in college this is a stressful time and all though... I still check every day eagerly awaiting progress!

I would also like to see a reboot in development.. wonder what happened to progmanos and yumbrad if there still reading these forums, hows college etc whens spring break lol

IIRC, I remember reading one of progmanos' posts in the regular section that he had sold his phone and switched to tmobile or att or something like that.

It's nice to have most of the MT's more experience devs, keep running over to Tmobile. I saw Tmobile had some nice phones, but the minutes of the 30 dollar plan is crap. VM needs a HTC One V but with a bigger screen, and I would switch phone(most people would)...

This is my first post

I found a link that has the source form Motorola would this help in getting the hdmi output and Camera working.

I would love to help dev if someone would take the time to help me I learn quick and i don't need help setting up the computer just what to do after it is set up.

Not sure how hard it is to set up but Leslie Ann over on the optimus v on android central set up a build server for their community. She may be able to help set up yours for this community they say theirs can build ics in fifteen minutes the first time an five after that that would be putting it to good use . But I'm not the guy to help. As I know nothing.........

I offer my pc as a potential one also, as I have an AMD FX4100 quad-core and 16GB of RAM.

hey guys if you want to be a big help buy one of these rigs! :p

1
DELL PRECISION T7500 2 X QC X5687 3.6GHZ 192GB 4 X 512GB SSD 2 X QUADRO 6000 | eBay

then tell me how long it takes to build lol :)

(build in 2 secs flat! lmao)

US $17,909.00Buy It Now

A little out of my price range... :P Although, I bet I could build a similar rig for a quarter to a half of that price that would run as well or better.

192GB of memory?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah, I know. It would be nice to put the whole build into a ramdisk and run the whole build process in ram instead of having to read it off the hd. That would fly!

Edit: At least until your power goes out and you lose all of your work...

I wish I had $18k to throw around! And I thought my 8-core rig with 16 GB RAM and a Radeon HD 7950 3GB graphics card was good!

there was one for like $600 that had 2x xeon processors, 8gb of ram, 1tb HDD, and a decent graphics card that i want for gaming, but i have to spend my money on my new phone :(

but yeah, if i had the money i would also just make one. cause your right. we could just make one that ran way better and faster that had better specs. :p

EDIT: and you guys know how fast linux runs on crappy pc's.... imagine how fast linux would run on that rig!!!

I have the HP DM1z its a decent PC I play left 4 dead on it :) no lag

- I plug in the HDMI for big screen and use my ps3 controller to play :D

Dang, $18k... I have a top of the line Asus business-gaming computer (partially custom built). It was a $7k gift from my brother, and it runs Crysis and Battlefield 3 on extreme like butter. Sorry, I usually don't brag but I have to when its about computers! :p

EDIT: I just asked my brother, that $7k was BS, its actually only $1k haha
