Root [Dev] Q: updater-script and MTD mount/format /system/ ISSUE

Spz0

Android Expert
I am noticing issues when attempting to format /system from the updater-script.

Using Sues CWM 5.0.2.7 on Vitality (although dev/blocks are the same), which only requires 2 args, so these _should_ work, but do not format or mount.

Code:
format("MTD", "system")
mount("MTD", "system", "/system");
package_extract_dir("system", "/system");

Code:
format("MTD", "/dev/block/stl12")
mount("MTD", "/dev/block/stl12", "/system");
package_extract_dir("system", "/system");

The Code is solid -- no errors. Its just not formatting or mounting the stated partitions.
As Im not too familiar with Samsung development, any help from devs would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks in advance.

MTD is the standard. Thats mounting it as ext2/yaffs2. Are you thinking of EMMC (ext4)?

WOOPS, sorry, I was in the middle of class. I was confusing MTD with something COMPLETELY different. God I hate Microsoft Server..
