So I wanted to get started on maybe trying to write some of my own Roms for my phone. What do i need to do this? Are there any programs i can download on my computer that can help me?

Apk manager, WinRAR, Dsixda's Kitchen, GIMP, Photoshop, Notepad++, Hex Editor, and maybe GitHub stuff.....

Links? Is there a thread about this stuff anywhere?
if you google for them you will find it really easy. some are not free like photoshop, but as he also listed "gimp" is free and does the same thing. (its really personal preference)

Are ther any videos or anyone that would like to get in an I.M.ing room to sorta walk me through i few things? I really would to learn and figure out a lot of stuff to do this.
