Root [DEV] Solid Workstation for Cheap!

I just recently purchased a Dell T5400 Workstation from the following ebayer who has like 8 more systems

PC Desktops, Computers Networking items in T5400 store on eBay!

The price with shipping came out to $271 on a buy it now. These are very solid systems, that come with a single Quad Core 2.0 Ghz Xeon and 4 GB of ram and 2x80GB sata drives. The system is capable of running 2 Xeon processors all the way up to the Intel Xeon X5460 @ 3.16GHz (8 cores @ 25.28Ghz) and also 32GB of ram. These systems are some what large, and stay pretty cool. The temp in my computer room runs about 76 degrees.

I thought I would share for those of you that maybe interested in compiling Android and or Kernel source and need a little more horse power like I did.

Well I am pleased to say the system rocks. It's very quiet. I was able to build Mantera's source in just a little over an hour with the 1 Xeon 2ghz and 4GB of ram. I did replace the 2 80Gb drives with a 60Gb SSD. Not to bad based on the fact these machines came out in 2009. I plan on adding another core and getting the ram up to 8GB so will see how she does at that point.

Nice little set up if you could get 2 quad cores running in there for under 350$
With 8 cores you would be looking at about 30min builds.

Yeah found another 2.0ghz proc and heatsink for 89.00 bucks and 4GB of ram (2x2gb) for like 34.00 it should be slamming pretty soon.
