Root [DEV WIP ROM] Jellybean Android 4.1 Port for Evo 3D [NOT A DAILY]

Yeah after actually reading the thread it seems that the dev hasn't even tested it himself as he bricked his evo while trying to get it to work. So I would agree that holding of would be a smart thing to do for now.

I think this may kickstart my interest and actually make me start working on this. downloading it now, on my next day off(sunday) will be taking a serious look at it, and I will see if i can get it running. If i can get it running, if i get enough requests i will release it as a flash at your own risk rom, then once its stable and tweaked a bit, i will fully release it.

edit: looking at the build.prop in the JB rom alone, shows it needs a LOT of work.

to be honest with you, looking over this, this is nowhere near complete...like 2% complete. if that. it has the basic shit one, but honestly, id rather grab the source rom and work from it, this guy left absolutely no notes on what he has done and hasnt, so i personally feel as though it would be more work than it is worth to use this guys release.

this guy is probably leaps and bounds ahead of the guy who posted the files, I will probably simply port it over to vm, then give a stock and a modded version.

I just checked it out and my opinion on it is that Rom won't work with just swapping out files or making small modifications it'd be easier to wait for Jelly Bean to come to a phone with qHD resolution like ours and port that or to wait for both our Source and Jelly Bean Source to be released and build from source

ok that's cool. When do you think we can get source from htc ?

Exactly what i noticed mobs, it needs a LOT of work, and i actually am a coder.. I looked through some of it, it is only about 5 percent complete. There is another guy who has been working on it and is apparently leaps and bounds ahead of this release, and so I stopped putting effort into it.
