Developer Options Guide

Android Enthusiast
This is just for people who may not know how to get dev options on the LG.

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to About Phone
3. Go to Software Information
4. Continuously tap "Build number" and it'll say you're now a developer
.(something like that :) )

And now what? Is there any reason to do this, or has anyone found out a purpose for being labeled as a developer?

It will allow you to put the phone into USB debugging mode which is needed to give shell commands to the phone from a computer

Lots of other features for developers, but if you never plan on rooting you phone and invoking shell commands then you don't need it.

Also, depending on the Android version, you can opt into the ART runtime in there, that improves both app performance and battery life. You may not have to wait for Android "L." I have it running on my Moto X.

Tried it with Link2SD and can confirm that it is non compatible.

Wether or not it is compatible with an app to sd app like App Manager lll
will have to be confirmed by someone brave enough to try it.

I think there are some know apps that for lack of a better term are hacks to Android that art breaks. xposed is another I think.
