Developer Titles...

I think that there should be a user title "Themer". i currently have "Rom Developer" but i think that that should be for people who hack at java, C, and C+ to make roms.... I just like to modify the way that roms look and feel to the user, and give them that custom experience they want. :)

So could this possibly be done? and my tag be changed to "themer" or "theme dev"

Worth thinkin' about. Going to have to come back to this though. Remind me some time in the near-ish future.
 
I will remind you myself. Was thinking along similar lines for app devs that contribute beyond announcing here and turn out to be rockstars. Thanks ziggy. I'll wait for the dust to settle.
 
Maybe "Theme Developer" and "App Developer".

If it's something that happens, a different color than ROM dev would be good.

Maybe a variant on the App Dev would be Vendor Support as I know there are some that are part of a teams or company's that are on here actively supporting an app in an official capacity and doing an excellent job of it without being spammy.

I think that is a good idea. It would help folks know that they are dealing with an official representative.
 
App developer seems good but,
There exists developers who do neither cook ROMs nor do they Develop special apps

Just help the device to boost the performance !
Like, May be a developer develops kernel, and, exploit finding , etc ....

How many more colours are there that seem suffici9ently differentiated from the existing colours? It looks like it was hard to find one for ROM developers as it is.

I think it would be nice to be teh same colour as they all end with "...developer".. It shows that we have more of a developer community than expected.

Great idea. Keep them all under the orange color, but with different tags. Are you thinking something like this (I'm sure I am missing a few, but its a first cut).;)

  • Rom Developer
  • Themer
  • Application Developer
  • Vendor Support

Quite like that. I only developed one ROM and now I'm on the SGS3, theres no hole that needs to be plugged in the ROM arena. I was thinking of rescinding my title, however I have developed themes and I am likely to develop things that are not ROMs.

I wouldn't want to have to pick a category and stick to it that way.
