Root Developer's Team

I actually have the devour and i was looking for ways to root the devour. i dont know if any of you have rooted your devours or not, but i actually found a couple of websites letting everyone know how to root the devour...i myself have not been successful in rooting my devour.

i messed up on a couple of steps from lack of sleep.

but if you are looking for a root you have two options

i heard that universal androot works for the devour

guys, why can't we use a phone that has motoblur on it?

isn't that about the same thing as the devour?

except i know the Droid X is practically the same built as the devour there are three other phones out there as well: Motorola Charm with motoblur, motorola defy with motoblur, and the motorola cliq 2 with motoblur.

would any of those three other phones be useful to us?
 
well try, but idk who is working on it and how far theyve gotten.
i dont know much about the developing process of it all

tried everything I can.. no result

or... the only one thing we can try.. can some body make a Titanium Backup of Bootstraper on droid X, so we can try to restore it on devour
 
can't reboot in recovery
bootstraper can't gain superuser permissions, because of modificatoins, I did in system files of my devour...
if someone know how to give su to bootstraper manualy... tell me, I'll try it and post here the result

:D:D:D)) try it - download........ that app needs 2.1

I made a few modifications in build.prop file, to make installator think, that phone's os is 2.1
 
I made no modificatoins in apk file
I modified file on the phone
system/build.prop
I changed ro.build.version.sdk=4 to 7
after that app installer recognised the phones Android version as 2.1, and installed the app
