no ive been busy with school and crap
so i havent had time

hey...im trying to do the thing to restore my build.prop # to 4 now.

i plug the devour in, select manage memory card (on the phone), navigate to my adb destination folder in cmd (which happens to be the "program-tools" file), type adb pull /system/build.prop and i get the error that says no device found...

HELP???

thatd be awesome if you could, were in great need of a custom upgrade to this truly lagging firmware

Workaround: instead of trying to use adb to "adb pull /system/build.prop", copy the file onto your SD card using Root Explorer or similar, then grab it off the SD card.

If we were to run a Linux system continously to build/extract an update for the devour, what distro would you suggest would be the best for this?


I'm running Fedora 15 on my acer netbook, and I don't know if this one would work or not.

Guys,

I know this is a pretty old thread (cool to see a lot of Eris root references in here, too ), but I think it belongs in the all-things-root sub-forum.

Lemme know if you think otherwise and I'll kick it "upstairs" to see what the Mods think.
