Apps Development for customer

Hi --

I'm looking for some advice on how to deploy a paid app for a customer. Generally speaking, if it were a free app I would just put it under my account, but this being paid, I want the customer to receive the money, not me. Do I need to set up an account for them? Is there a way that I can do the leg work, but the monies and ownership of the app belong to the customer. I'm new to the app world and looking for some guidance. This app will also be launched in the iTunes store as well, so anybody that could share any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I would personally make sure that the account for Google Play/iTunes App Store is under their name. Specifically with Google Play, it now requires a physical address. Even if you could get around that with a PO Box or some kind of agreement you don't want to be the one responsible for any legal issues (even if you think there will be nothing to worry about).

I would work with the customer to set up each account/merchant account and have them share account access. With Google Play Developer Console you could help them set up a developer account/merchant account and then give a separate gmail account (your gmail account) access to their dashboard. This way you can do everything you need (minus merchant stuff) to deploy an application. Even if you don't have merchant access you would still have access to add inventory items if you went the route of in app purchases.

If iTunes doesn't offer this flexibility you could just simply use the customers login credentials and have a process of them changing the password after your work is done. Not that they can't trust you but so that you are not responsible or even could be bothered by possible blame down the road.
