Root Development progress on Cyanogenmod7/9/10 Updated: 5/10

No way, msm7k stuff wouldn't work then I don't think. I saw gsmarena said that, but I don't consider them reliable.

Well it seems that, that's the conclusion several have come to including ktb83, whom I do consider reliable......however as usual with this phone I can't say anything assuredly

Its a MSM8655. As far as the msm7k in our buildprops, that comes from the codeaurora build system. If you sync their gingerbread repo and build for a msm7x30, it ends up with the msm7k in the buildprops like we have.

Not the build.prop, in the stock Rom, system/lib/hw all of those are msm7k

All those things (copybit, gps, gralloc, lights, sensors) work fine in my cm7 build when they get built with the XXXX.msm7x30.so name. The only one that had any issues is the overlay one, which I believe is caused by a different issue.

Alright, thanks. I look forward to getting the phone!

I'm trying to figure out a error I'm having with compiling. It involves surfaceflinger. Once I get a successful build I'll be looking for testers

Why don't you send it to me first so I can check it, then go from there.

CM7 using giantpunes source. Nothing works, ill be starting with cm7 then on to cm9, etc. That statement can change at any time lol

I hate to have to tell you this, but it looks like your new phone may have a minor imperfection on the screen.
