Help Device Has Been Modified, Software Updates Not Available

When I try to update my Samsung S3 it comes up with "Device has been modified, software updates not available" when I check my device status it says 'Custom'

I've looked around so much on Google and none of them seem to work for me.

Have you rooted or tried to root your device (or installed a custom ROM, etc.)?

That is a likely reason for what you're seeing/experiencing...

Search for triangle away and see if you run that if they helps

What is the complete model number and Android version of your S3?
Some models stopped receiving updates at 4.3, others at 4.4.2.

What is the complete model number and Android version of your S3?

My Android version is 4.3, so that could be the reason it can't update

LOL, I wasn't necessarily advocating rooting since that would likely keeping you from being able to install a system (OTA) update...

Let's see what else @Jfalls63 might have to say .

Depends on model number if stock firmware for your device is available higher than 4.3
