Help Device status modified and PC data connection

Yep carry on!!

Make sure you do the nandroid backup first as I pointed out in an earlier post.
Also download HC-Ktool from the play store and back up your EFS. Then you can flash Omega...whatever.

If you want to flash the Samsung ROM it's on my googledrive here:

This will have to be flashed with Odin though; and as you can't connect to your PC; you are going to have to use the new web based version. I've never used it..so you're on your own there.

Thank you so much mate. I already did backup with nandroid, now im just gonna download HC-Ktool and backup EPS.

I got the part with omega, but with the web based version, can you give me any info on how does it work?
 
When I backup me EFS it says backup done, verify? I clicked yes and run check. After that it says

sdcard/efs.img found
mount returned:255, unable to mount image - image corrupted ?)
nv_data.bin NOT FOUND in backup!!!

/sdcard/efs.tar.gz found

/!/nv_data.bin NOT FOUND in backup!!!


Any ideas if this is good or bad ?

Not good.

Try again and see what happens.

The Omega ROM uses the Aroma installer; you get the option to back up your EFS during the install.
 
Whats the name of your custom recovery? I know its clockwork based but if it has a purple background its probably Philz recovery and you can backup EFS there
 
I did it with HC-Ktool . The same thing happened 4-5 times i tried. Well, i will probably flash it with Omega, and since Nigsy said it has its own EFS backup. Anyways, I will probably try to flash tomorrow and will let you guys know about the progess. Again, Thank you so much mates. I appreciate it. I'll keep you updated with the status.
 
One more thing before I sign off...

Make sure all your contacts are backed up to Google and any important text messages are backed up as all of this will get wiped.

Remember to ask questions if you get stuck.
