DHD and DLNA capabilities.

Hi there.

A simple question: is the DHD capable of acting as a DLNA PLAYER?
I know it can stream videos and such to a DLNA-enabled TV and other device (thus acting as a server), but can it also act as a player? Ie: playing contents stored on a DLNA wireless NAS?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the link, Harry. It's very interesting...

My NAS is a Buffalo Linkstation Pro, it currently streams videos and music to my PS3 and my Windows7 laptop perfectly.

I was wondering if i could be able to watch movies on the screen of a DHD without having first to copy the files locally, just browsing the remote DLNA server (the NAS) wirelessly.
(the NAS is connected to a wifi router).

The app is very simple. It's scanning automatically in local (SD card) and in the network (over WiFi).

But with my Netgear NAS I wasn't lucky in my first attempt.
Next step I'll try with the Netgear setting (mayby a diver update is necessary).

You have to try it with your NAS (24 hours :) )

Problem is, I don't have a Desire HD! :D

I own a "regular" Desire, so I can't run any test with my home media setup.

But I'm thinking of getting a DHD, so....

With the PlugPlayer app you can set the Desire to DLNA Client, too.
For streaming NAS --> Desire you don't need the media server from the Desire HD.
