Root DHD Bootloader lost

Hello all, hopefully you guys can help me instead of dealng with muppets on xda.

I have a HTC Desire HD that I tried to root using the Advanced Ace Hack Kit, everything went well untill I got presented with the below:

Now when it got to there, Windows 7 keeps saying it cant find drivers for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM Windows driver.

Now a odd time the phone boots to this screen:

Out of 20 attemps I get the above maybe once, most of the time I get the orange led flashing and 3 virbates.

Note I didnt backup the SD card as there wasnt anything on it I thought I needed. This phone hasnt been used in ages, it took a slight damping from been in a jacket pocket while fishing in heavy rain, didnt turn on for 3months at all untill a few weeks ago, and everything worked fine.

Any help you guys can give would be great.

That's clockwork, if you can get there, there might be hope.

If you boot the device whilst holding the volume down button, does it take you into hboot? (White screen with 3 Androids at the bottom).

Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM Windows driver.

These drivers pertain to the Qualcomm service mode and you should only get that notification when using the phone attached to your computer and booting the phone up with power and vol+ together. I'd reckon your vol+ might be faulty sticking down which is causing the problem during the AAHK process. Also you have ensured to remove HTC Sync from your machine and install the drivers from the hack kit first?

I don't see the hboot screen at all (3 android at the bottom).

95% of the time the phone comes on with vol down and power button, to a black screen with the orange LED and 3 vibrates.

My machine is a clean Win7 64bit build with no HTC drivers (HTC Sync etc) installed apart from the driver included with the hack kit.

The "Qualcomm CDMA ..." notification on the PC is a sign for the Qualcomm service mode. Also the 3 vibrates and the orange light is an indicator for that. You can enter this mode by pressing vol+ and power your device. Stupid question, but is it possible that your vol+ button is stuck or something like that?And you said you're able to enter CWM? how? I'm asking because you said you can't enter the bootloader.I'll do some research when i get home today.Meanwhile Try if ADB/Fastboot sees your phone

Edit: just checked my theory of the broken vol+ button: i held down my vol + button, took my battery out, reinserted it and powered up my phone. Result: 3 vibrates and a flashing orange light.

Then i did the same, but held down vol - ( vol+ still pressed). Result: your second phenomenon: a few vibrates and the green light stays on.

So I think this proves my theory because this is exactly what you described I suggest you to play a bit with the vol+ button. Maybe the button will work again then.

now that you mention it, I just checked the Vol + button and it is indeed stiff to press compared to the Vol - button.

I have ordered a replacement button from the bay and will fit once it comes. Hopefully Ill be able to boot this yoke and I want to use it for Tethering to a laptop while am in the south of Ireland working and/or south bound calls.
