Help Dhd keeps gettin stuck in landscape mode

Whenever text, look at the map my phone always seems to get stuck in landscape mode and I have to flip the phone on it's side to view...which is annoying when I just want to use it portrait mode....anyone have this issue?
Even when I turn it from land to portrait it still won't flip round

Under settings/display is auto rotate checked off

I'd suggest you run Settings -> Display -> G-Sensor calibration because it sounds like the calibration of the sensor might be wrong.
