Help DHD keeps turning off the vibrate, also does not ring on occasion

Hi all, I've been having a problem where I want to set my phone to vibrate and ring (both) when i get a call. However, when I take my phone off vibrate mode using the volume rocker on the side, the vibrate seems to automatically turn off. And then when i use the rocker to change back to vibrate, the vibrate stays OFF.
Is there a way to make sure that the vibrate is ALWAYS ON?

Also, when i get calls, my phone doesn't ring, i'm not sure what could be causing this problem. Sometimes it rings, and sometimes it doesn't, and it doesn't discriminate between any of my contacts either.\

Settings >> sounds >> ensure the sound profileis set to normal and vibrrate is ticked. you COULD always try to turn off pocket mode and flip for speaker incase the sensor on the phone isn't very great and is screwing things up.

This is just a quick suggestion, you likely know about all this, but i will have a look now.

haha yes, that's what i meant
when i change from vibrate to ring (Normal) using the volume rocker on the side of the phone, and then go back into settings to check vibrate is unchecked. then when i change it back to vibrate using the rocker, the box for vibrate is still unchecked, and I'm not sure why it would do this, kind of annoying.

i will try the pocket mode
