Help DHD stuck on vibrate

Hi folks, I have my DHD 2 months now and love it....

Was showing a video clip to a friend and noticed the volume was low... I tried to increase it but nothing happened. The volume button did work when I lowered it, but now is stick on vibrate (mute)...

I did drop it yesterday for the first time from a small height... I also have a "barely there" cover, and there was no visible damage etc on the fone..
Anybody got any ideas.

I have the same problem. Volume down works, but the volume up-button doesn't.

You are able to increase the volume in Settings -> Sound though.

Hi, any idea how yours happened?........

I found out today that HTC only cover software issues in their warranty, and not physical damage....

I haven't dropped mine. Maybe there is some kind of bad connection?

About your situation... How can HTC tell whether it has been dropped or whether it is a bad connection?

Ya I hear ya..... work in quality assurance and fully inspected the fone today using the tools of my trade and couldn't see any physical damage... didn't take apart as there is a warranty sticker over one of the screws.... so will just send into get fixed.... need to figure out how to backup my data via HTC.com if anyone has any ideas.....

Okay, now both the volume buttons doesn't work anymore. I'm sending it in for repair tomorrow.

Seems like HTC Desire HD has a weak point.
