DHD Update

Guys,
When is the 2.3 OS version coming for DHD?
Will it be coming or not?
Any news?
Can we get like a sneak peak of the 2.3 OS for it?
I have asked too many questions.
 
No one knows yet. I guess wait until the MWC in the next few weeks. I am sure google is gonna release 2.4 gingerbread with music sync etc and I am sure HTC will say what phones will get the the new update. I am pretty sure HTC will skip 2.3 and go straight to 2.4, ala eclair.

Hopefully we also get more details on honeycomb. Looks awesome!!! And maybe some sneak peak at Ice Cream Sandwich???

Erm, wouldn't 2.4 be Ice Cream Sandwich?

This is the order they will come, but the version numbers are different

Eclair = 2.1
Froyo = 2.2
Gingerbread = 2.3
Honeycomb = 2.4 OR 3.0

Yes, but 3.0 Honeycomb is for tablets, not sure if they will re-use honeycomb for 2.4 on mobile handsets.
 
Honeycomb is 3.0. It will be used for both mobiles and tablets when it comes out in the spring.

2.4 is still a rumor (I expect it to be announced at MWC), but I think it is an update of 2.3 aka gingerbread and will be called gingerbread as it is a fix for gingerbread going live pre-christmas, the same that happened with 2.0/2.1. Thats why the nexus one in my opinion hasn't got gingerbread and only Nexus S has it.

Ice Cream Sandwich is version..... no one knows and no one knows what will be in it and what features it will have. But it won't be 2.4 or 2.5. It will be 3.X
