Hi

sorry this is a random post, but i saw on here somewhere that you can dial a code & change some network setting for your operator, (FD rings a bell.) cant remember what its called, can anyone remember??

PS

is FD used on vodafone & 02 (giffgaff) ?

That's the 64,000$ question?

I'm on Vodafone and I have Fast Dormancy enabled as the last time I enquired, early 2011, they were rolling it out.

I also believe that O2 use it on their network also.

Fast dormancy determines how long it takes for your H+ signal to change to 3g when not in use. So with fast dormancy turned off when a webpage has finished loading it will take longer to switch to 3g therefore making it quicker to load the next page.

does it affect any 2G network thingys? i disabled my Fast Dormancy although i rarely use my data network... it did increase my battery though (or is it just me hoping it will increase?) :D
