Help Dial Skype from Android Address Book?

l8nighter

Lurker
Is there anyway to dial a Skype number when using the Android Address Book? It would be easier than having to switch to the Skype App and dial a Skype Contact if I could just somehow have the Android address book prompt me to use Skype to contact the user.

I think there is an option to show your skype contacts in your contact book. Look through all the settings in the skype app

There is but I wanted to see if you could add a Skype contact to the Android address book so when you are in the Android address book you could dial a Skype contact. This way you could put a widget on your Android home screen and it would dial a Skype contact without having to switch over to Skype.

Moved to Support and Troubleshooting, as this is a support question regarding skype and the android address book

I just installed Skype 2.0 from the Android market and now whenever I make a phone call it gives me the option to use the Dialer or Skype. I guess this was the only way to get it to work was to use Skype 2.0

My Galaxy Nexus phone (ICS), bought a month ago, used to offer me the choice of using Skype whenever I called from my address book. I must have turned it off as well and can't get it back. Was handy. I now have Skype version 2.6.0.95. Did Skype recently update and get rid of this feature? I've tried re-installing - no use.
