Help Dialer not working

I have a strange and frustrating problem with my boost ZTE force.The "hang up" on screen button is not working. As well as 7,8,9 keys. I can use the dialer in landscape but not in portrait mode. Any sugestions how to fix it. I already did factory reset.
 
Is there a way to completely replace the stock dialer. While many programs replace the dialing part, the old, ugly red "hangup" bar still remails. Also is t safe to flash or reinstall OS on prepaid phone. I thoght that they were build different.
 
I don't know of a way to replace the dialer or the "in call" screen. It Is safe to flash custom Roms but only the ones made for this phone (DroidSmith and cm10 (unofficial) ). Many prepaid phone have less development than phone on contact carriers. But many prepaid services are during high end phones now
