Root Dialer trouble

Dinc rooted. Skyraider 4.1 - stable, fast, good battery life, and everything works fine.

HOWEVER...
When I listen to a voicemail, too often I cannot press "7" to delete a message. The dialer acts as though I'm trying to dial out.

FURTHER...
When I'm calling, and the phone goes dark, I often cannot "hang up" except by pressing and holding the top button. Surely there's a better way.

Ideas?

I'd try reflashing the rom without a wipe. Don't think I ever had that issue when using that rom. But I use google voice for voice mail, so I'm not sure if I ever had a situation where i needed the keypad during a call.

One other fix I remember reading is changing the dtmf tones to long.

the last issue sounds like a proximity sensor bug, reflashing the rom may fix that too. But that sensor has never worked 100% for me even when stock.

Thanks.
I did reflash, with no change. Long/short also doesn't help.
This morning I installed Dialer One, and will see if that makes a difference.

It's annoying to be listening to voicemail and be unable to press '7' to erase a message and move on to the next.

Not sure if it will help, but there used to be an issue like this and all you had to do was go to sounds and change the audible tone from short to long.
