Help *$@#$* Dialling tones....

Hi!

Just upgraded my Pulse to 2.1 which is great except for two things.

1) Cannot remove dialling touch tones even when box is unchecked (repeatedly).

2) Can the bottom task bar be removed, retracted or customised.

Thank you all for any advice.
