Root Did Google Now Stop Working on ICS ?

Just Noticed yesterday that G-NOW has stopped working on my ICS ROMS has anyone else noticed this?

I put on a JB ROM and it works fine so I know its not the phone.
 
I don't use Google Now a whole lot so not sure about it working but I did notice that it can't be updated in the Play Store on an ICS rom.

My issues on ICS ROMs have been with the updated Google+ app with the Hangouts app. The Play Store will update Talk to Hangout which then requires an update to the Google Play Store Services App and then Hangout integrating with Google+ and then Google+ updating creates a mess causing everything in this web to crash. I now don't even update Talk and uninstall any updates to that and Google+ if they get pushed through while on ICS roms. So it makes sense that Google Now is getting messed up now too.

Wow that sounds like a lot of work lol.

That's what I;m having the problem with it just hangs and we get the circle of death lol... do you think we somehow lost some functionialy of G-Now?
It didn't do that 2 days ago.

Must be Google's Servers rejecting our older version of the app.... Everything else works

Mine don't either and if you ask for them voice doesn't work so they won't come up....
I think I may have a new project this weekend lol :)

it might just be a google thing....... a quick google search should tell us if its only an ICS thing

It just happened about 36 hours ago may not be noticed yet...
I just had a buddy on Verizon check his modded ICS build and G-Now hangs on his phone too...

It works fine on WFTN JB ROM I just checked again.
 
Weird I had the same issues. Anyone know if Google now can be updated on ICS? I mean they did manage to port over the Google now we have on ICS currently.
 
I just can't believe google would give this app to apple but not let the people who use there other versions have it.
 
I don't think this breakage is intentional. The likely reason that GN is not officially available on ICS is to pressure phone makers to upgrade to JB. Meanwhile, we get screwed because all of the JB ROMS for the Evo V 4G have issues.

Mine does too.... I am using a ghetto version right now I downloaded voice search from the play store and complete action with built in browser. and get g-now talk and pictures without the cards lol.
But If you use google browser on your computer and you are signed in the cards show up on your phone for the searches you do. It's not the same but you can achieve similar results
