Root Did I mess up? - Shuji 2.0 Issues

So I am having some strange issues with Shuji 2.0 and I wanted to know if it's something I did. First the problems:

I think there is something wrong with my google account. It push notifies me for email just fine, but I don't get notifications from apps like Wordfeud. Also, I cannot make ANY purchases from the android market. I have to use the website and purchase apps their so they get pushed to my phone. When I try and get a paid app from the market it says "An error occured, please try again." I can get free apps and apps I've already paid for without an issue.

Here is where I may have messed up: I wasn't happy with the older froyo versions of some apps, namely Alarm and Timer, Camera, and Gallery. I saw in a thread today that there are .zip's with the blur versions of these apps that you can flash in CWR and get them. But I didn't know about this, and I just restored them from Titantium Backup. They seem to work fine, but is this normally not an acceptable way to restore system apps? I also froze/uninstalled the older versions I didn't want. I don't know if this is what is causing my problems or if it's something else entirely.

i think these issues are going to be common, shuji isnt the only one to experience it, some other roms on .596 and .602 are having that same issue, i had it on liberty, before i went to 2init roms. hopefully a work around is found

yikes...that is frustrating. I might have to flash Darkslide X again. I didn't have this problem on there. It's kind of a big deal not being able to buy apps :eek:

This is happening to me on CM7 GB kernel Rom too. So it's not only happening on Shuji or ApeX.
 
it must be something with the gb kernel im still on the froyo kernel and everything is working just fine ^_^
 
i had the market issue as well on Shuji the other day. I ended up going back to CM7 last night so its all good now.

When I did that once on a ROM (installed some of the apps from TiBU), I ended up with a half borked install as well. So, now I just do standard apps not anything to do with system apps or system data. Kinda of a PITA, but makes for much cleaner ROM's with way less problems.
