Did the atrix ever get a 1080p video update?

There was mention of the atrix getting a software update to allow for 1080p video recording but I haven't found if that update was ever released.....

I was told by an AT&T store manager that the Atrix 2 which is forthcoming will add an 8mp camera and 1080p video capture (probably the same unit in the Droid X2/3)

It does have 1080p with gingerbread on it. Just you can't record and watch it in 1080p for some reason. But it does play 1080p in youtube or in any internet video or movie from phone app.

it has 1080p playback but for recording I believe the tegra 2 can not do 1080p recording. Also the reason boxee did not put tegra 2 in thier set top boxes. It is hardware limited.

The gsmarena page for Atrix 4G still says 1080p recording will come by software update. Though Motorola page doesn't show this. I guess Motorola initially misguided everyone by quoting this possibility and then removed it from their own pages

Yeah this is really annoying! 1080p recording was one of the reasons I purchased my Atrix. Other than that I LOVE my Atrix. ATT finally upgraded the towers in my area and im now getting 4g speeds! Whew!

The LG optimus 2X does 1080p (although at a lower fps of 24) recording on Tegra 2, so doesn't seem to be a Tegra 2 limitation, does it?

Meh, got tired of dealing with the Atrix and now have a Galaxy S II. Does 1080p better than most camcorders.

Basically, we were all lied to my Moto about 1080p. That's why it says generically "HD" on the back. 720 qualifies and they decided to leave it at that, hoping nobody would notice.

which makes me wonder... the newly announced Motorola Razr (powered by Android)... Motorola said ICS will be coming to the phone in early 2012.

i wonder if we can still believe that?!?
