Help Did your phone reset

My phone is possessed LOL. Angry birds left it's alphabatized posisition and now resides between Dumbometer and Email. I couldn't have done this if I tried.......
 
Hey ickster, I don't know if you had already noticed but you CAN rearranged the icons in the main menu. Not all of them though, just the ones you installed yourself. To do that, hit the app icon and then the menu key. Now instead of list view just select edit, and the apps you can move will have a minus sign on them. Just tap and hold it until you feel a slight vibration from the phone (haptic feedback) and then you can move them. I still don't know about the alphabetization thing, though.
 
Very nice! For all my fretting about it, I really like them alphabetised! Thanks. How on earth did you figure that out? Is that a standard Android thing?
 
I just stumbled on it poking around the phone.
This is my first android device, so I'm just "exploring" the H*&# out of it. LOL. So needless to say, I have no idea if it's astandard android thing.
 
Good find. Makes it look more polished when they're all in the correct order. Makes my anal side happy ha ha.

I was thinking it would be a welcomed tidbit, and it isn't obvious to find at all...

It's nice to know. I would. Maybe we should start a "Secrets and Hints" thread. Some things that are really obvious to some would be big news to others. I'll bet a lot of people don't realize they can expand things with multi touch.
 
ickster something's definitely screwing with our phones from time to time, cause today I noticed all of a sudden that all the captions for the icons on my homescreen were truncated. Like my Angry Birds icon said Angry Bi... instead of Angry Birds. It was all fixed with a reboot, but again, I understand wtf is going on or why. And the random rebooting (which still occurs at least once a day for me) is equally as annoying.
 
By the way,i forgot to mention this before, but I think I have a theory on the phone apps rearranging themselves, ickster. Did you by any chance remove your sd card from the phone? Or did you see any errors from media scanner about a malfunctioning sd card? Cause that'll do it.

No, Not at the time of the reset. I have a 16gb card in there but I hadn't messed with it.
 
Oh well, there goes theory number one. I just thought that was a likely outcome since I noticed some of my apps whose data reside on the sd card did not show up on my screen after such an event on my end.
