Hello welcome to the forums . what kind of router do you have. While you look can you turn off the router for 35-40 sec:eek:yes shut off power to the router for a 35-40 sec count . in that time reboot both devices also . when you turn on the router give 20 seconds then power on the Sony devices and connect to the WiFi . when all is done post back with results and WiFi router name and if any problems .

tp link router, but the problem doesn

The problem is the xperia 8 . turn it off and allow a 2 min window to turn on the st21i wait 2min and see if speed improve . the xperia 8 only has b/n 802.1 on the router and the st21i has all 3 which would be B/g/n 802.1 . so just one phone is a little backed up .maybe check the Sony PC companion and sony update tool to see if both is up to date . I think the xperia 8 may have one waiting.

So you need to change the 802.1 b/n/g in the settings of the router and also refresh the WiFi of both devices
