Help Different back cover on retail unit

This might not be a big deal to most, but for me at least it makes the phone more desirable. I didn't like the deep criss-cross pattern on the SGS2, but it seems they have made it much more subtle and more dimpled looking in the retail unit.

We got our hands on a retail Samsung Galaxy S II, does yours look the same?

i have no doubt the aftermarket stuff will flow rapidly, should be lots to choose from soon.

I have the finer mesh on my retail unit. I didn't know there was a difference until I saw this. I like the back, it is thin and gives good grip. My hand does get a bit sweaty.

is that from the phones getting hot or just in general?....as in, do you think a different cover will reduce this?

It's from the phone getting warm. It doesn't get especially hot but it is a little warmer than my Desire was. You should be fine in your cold country :-S

lol i thought it looked different in some of the review shots! i like the new back pattern as well

I noticed it on the samsung mobiler review videos but the videos were so blurry you couldn't tell if it was patterned or just flat.

I've had one in hand that was on and had been used nearly constantly for over an hour. I didn't notice anything close to being hot, slightly warm perhaps, but that's about it.
