Root Different PRLs? what do they do?

so im running cyanogen mod on my optimus m and Prl 3025 and some people are talking about prl 3023 and they get 3g in tampa and i do too but very limited so i was wondering if i use a different prl would i get better 3g signal here? and i live right outside brandon which is next to tampa and i visit brandon and tampa and the 3g cuts in and out and i do not have 3g in my house but i do down the street so is there anyway to improve this with a different prl and i have 2.2.1 on my optimus if that helps and thanks guys

Why not just try using each prl from 3020-3025? Most people get either better data signal from 20 to 25 or worse, doesn't hurt to try :P

Alright so first you make sure its connected to lg and its open (obviously lol). 2nd you go to the bottom where it would show the tabs upgrade binary script etc etc etc. YOU CLICK THE PRL ONE AND WHERE IT SAYS THE PRL AND MAKE SURE ITS ON WRITE. Once on write click the box next to prl and make sure the nam1 and nam2 have a check near them then you look to the right of the nam1 file and youd see a folder and a trash can. Click the folder and look for your prl such as 3020.prl 3021.prl 3022.prl ETC ETC ETC. And click start. It will reboot, DON'T CLICK DISCONNECT PHONE, DONT DISCONNECT YOUR PHONE, wait till it says 100% then on top where it shows where ports are connected, youd click something that would say click to continue, once it goes back to stand by then you disconnect your phone and enjoy your new prl :P
 
okay so i think i may have a problem i found one 3023 prl and i did everything and i put usb debugging on and i clicked start and now it says sub processing and its just sitting there the time is elspseing but they phone isent doing anything or the process bar isent moving i had cdma workshop open whe i clicked start could that do anything?
 
with lgnpst, as soon as you click start is sends it to your phone, and then ur phone rebootes.. after that it just sits there till the timer runs up.. only takes a couple minutes, but i would wait till it says complete.. ya never know what may happen
 
I sat there for about 20 mins of it doing nothing so i think its the drivers so im going to start fresh on my laptop which doesent have the lab
