Yea, that's part of it.

Basically, there will be more diversity in Droid owners than this poll will show.
 
Man, what is everyone's problem with race? How is this any different than asking age or gender? Racism will be a problem until people get over it and quit acting like we should be ashamed of our race.

Americans really play a lot on race... If you travel a bit, race is pretty meaningless to most other countries...
 
Why i believe this poll is wrong is because there are more races then what is written so the question i ask is where is the Option for other. I am mixed so can i vote twice or should i assume that we are all one race. That's why to me people are offended and this should get closed for it serves no purpose but to assume we are either are one or the other. Do Native Americans have a vote or are they obsolete. I have spoken thanks for reading.

Yea, I know what you mean. Hitler didn't think in terms of race at all. :eek: And everybody in the Middle East just loves the Jews. And the South African whites treat the blacks so fairly, it's truly heart-warming. The list goes on & on & on. Racism isn't an "American thing" ... it's a world thing. And it sucks. :(
 
I'm wondering....... the first choice is African American.....does this mean that people of African descent only come from America? When you think of it.... I've never heard of an African Canadian, or an African Japanese, or an African Bosnian... What is it about being Black in America, that makes it so important to be identified as an African American instead of anything else?

True, true, there are a lot of different kinds of Africans and African American is usually interpreted as "black," I do not know why.
 
This thread is a perfect illustration of why this will never be the "united" states. Everyone gets their panties all in a bunch whenever anything isn't 100% politically correct. I believe that other post was a poor attempt at sarcasm. The point is.... if asking this question in the first place is unacceptable, then this isn't any america I want a part of. Think about it. Granted there should have been an "other" option. Just a little food for thought, the first one to cry racist is usually the racist. Kinda like who smelt it dealt it in grade school......look where the race game got the dems.....

Sorry, was just making a quick poll because I was interested, thought hard if I left out any races, your right, I should have had an other group...

Why is everybody making such a big deal out of a simple poll?
 
This is what happens when you try to please all the people, all the time. It just doesn't work. Someone ends up getting mad/offended when "they" are left out. I agree the poll should have included the option "Other", but seriously people, the OP wasn't trying to be offensive to ANYONE in ANY WAY! People telling the OP to get an education or belittling him because it wasn't an all inclusive poll, get a grip! Will ya? It's a freaking internet poll. It wasn't meant to be scientific or 100% accurate. It was meant as something to do to create interest in a thread or idea.

I'm black but I think the creation of "race" is one of the most asinine things to come about in the history of mankind.

I understand what you're syaing, but you're talking extremes... Travel a bit through Europe and you'll see. Racism is truly not like it is here.

I'm gonna close this thread simply cause there seems to be a misunderstanding over what is covered by "race" and some people are getting offended.

If someone wants to recreate with a more comprehensive or accurate list then please feel free, but I am will shut this now to avoid any unnecessary arguments
